The Ghana Young Academy (GYA) was proudly represented at the induction into the Fellowship of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (GAAS) for one of its distinguished members, Professor Francis Hasford, Professor of Medical Physics.

The induction was a highlight of the 2025 GAAS Founder’s Week Celebration, which focused on the timely theme: “Navigating Political Transitions in Ghana: Issues and Lessons.”

Representing the Ghana Young Academy at the event were two members of the Executive Council: Dr. Latifatu Mohammed (Co-Chair) and Dr. Cyril Dziedzorm Boateng. Their presence underscored the strong connection and mutual respect between the GYA and GAAS and reaffirmed the academy’s support for its members achieving such high levels of academic distinction.

The GYA celebrates Associate Prof. Hasford’s well-deserved recognition and looks forward to his continued contributions to the academic community and national development through the prestigious GAAS platform.
