Member Profile – Dr. Portia Adade Williams


Dr. Portia Adade Williams is a Research Scientist with the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Ghana for the past seven years. Portia holds a PhD from University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa. She is a 20/20 Adaptation Professional’s Fellow at the Global Centre on Adaptation, Netherlands and was a visiting research fellow with African Climate and Development Initiative (ACDI) of UCT under the Climate Impact Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Programme in Sub Saharan Africa. Her research interests are into climate, socio economic and innovation studies and research areas are agricultural production systems’ impacts, vulnerability and adaption to climate variability/change. She is a member of the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).
