Marian Asantewah Nkansah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
We celebrate her today because she has been named to the Analytical Scientist Power list 2020 which recognizes ten analytical talents per continent around the globe. Prof. Nkansah was nominated by readers of articles on the analytical scientist website and selected by a panel of independent judges.
Her greatest scientific inspiration is Marie Skłodowska Curie who to her is the embodiment of femininity and scientific excellence. Her advice to younger self is; Follow your passion. Don’t allow negative thoughts from yourself or others, your ethnicity, location, environment or gender be a limitation on what you can achieve.
